WIVES & EXTORTION: the TULFO PHENOMENA


TULFO WIVES, like the Wife of REY LANGIT who was very active in the Langit Family SMUGGLING Operations, are also involved in the Massive and Widespread TULFO EXTORTION.

If NBI documents and newspaper reports are to be believed, the TULFO WIVES play major roles in the TULFO Brothers’ EXTORTION Enterprises.

Jimmy Salgado in his August 18, 2006 Sworn Statement executed at the Special Task Force Office of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Manila said that Raffy Tulfo extorted money from Customs to defray HOSPITAL EXPENSES of his WIFE about to GIVE BIRTH. (Incidentally, occasions of family extraordinary expenses are some of the reasons for the TULFO Extortions. For example, a document submitted to Customs Authorities several years ago tells of extortion of $1,000.00 for expenses of Raffy Tulfo scheduled to travel to U.S.A. ).

In QUESTION NUMBER 12 in Salgados’ Sworn Statement, we read the following: “SI ERWIN TULFO, bakit mo naman nasabi na may kinalaman siya sa pananakot at paniningkil sa Bureau of Customs?” (as to ERWIN TULFO, why did you say that he has something to do with threatening and squeezing (extorting) at the Bureau of Customs?).

ANSWER: “Dahil noong nakaraang taon, ay sinabihan ako ni ERWIN TULFO na “JIM, MERON BA TAYONG MAHINGIAN NG TULONG PARA SA PANGANGANAK NG MISIS ?” Ang ginawa ko ngayon ay nilapitan ko ang mga examiners, appraisers at mga taong hindi ko matandaan ang mga pangalan at sila ay nagbigay sa akin para ibigay ko kay ERWIN TULFO na siya namang tinanggap ni ERWIN TULFO. Noong tumagal ay nagalit na si ERWIN sa akin dahil hindi na ako nangongolekta para sa kanya” (Because last year, ERWIN TULFO told (asked) me “JIM ARE THERE PEOPLE FROM WHOM WE CAN ASK FOR HELP FOR MY WIFE ABOUT TO GIVE BIRTH?” So what I did was I approached the examiners, appraisers and people whose names I could not now recall and they gave money to give to ERWIN TULFO, and ERWIN TULFO received them. After some time, ERWIN got mad at me because I stopped collecting for him,)

Because Raffy Tulfo, since he was fired from the Abante publications of the Macasaets could not answer back printed reports against his “integrity,” Erwin Tulfo USES HIS COLUMNS at the People’s TONIGHT of the Philippine Journalists, Inc. to defend his brother Raffy Tulfo and Raffy’s wife, Jocelyn

Erwin Tulfo DEFENDED his brothers Ramon Tulfo and Raffy Tulfo who was sued by Customs Officer Lourdes Mangaoang. for “GRAVE THREATS AND EXTORTION.” Erwin said that Managaong claimed Ramon and Raffy Tulfo extorted money from her so that she would not be subjected to attacks by the Tulfos in their radio programs.

Erwin Tulfo ADMITTED that he himself USED HIS COLUMN TO ATTACK MANGAOANG!!!

Erwin said that it is Mangaoang who is harassing his brothers!!!

Erwin expressed the fear that MANGAOANG IS USING THE LAW TO HARASS HIS BROTHERS.

Erwin Tulfo, in defending his brothers against Mangaoang emphasized that RAMON and RAFFY TULFO USE MEDIA to fight for the rights of the oppressed and those seeking justice!!!!

Erwin also used his column to DEFEND the wife of Raffy Tulfo, Jocelyn Pua-Tulfo. Managaong claimed that aside from Ramon Tulfo and Raffy Tulfo, Raffy’s wife, Jocelyn Pua-Tulfo, is also part of the extorting enterprise..

In his defense of Mrs. Raffy Tuflo, Erwin said that Jocelyn Pua is A CHILD OF A RICH BUSINESSMAN from Cauayan City (where, by the way, Raffy Tulfo filed his libel case against me) and OWNER OF VAST TRACKS OF RICELAND in the place.

What is being insinuated is that since Mrs. Raffy Tulfo comes from a rich family, she could not be an extortionist. The clear implication is ONLY POOR PEOPLE COULD BE EXTORTIONISTS.

Erwin said that if Mrs. Rafy Tulfo asked P5,000 from Managaoang, it was for the public service center of Raffy Tulfo, for the purchase of a wheelchair when Raffy Tulfo had a radio program at station DZXL

Erwin Tulfo insinuated that probably Mangaoang was drunk when she gave the money to Mrs. Raffy Tulfo. Erwin insinuated that Mangaoang and Jocelyn Pua-Tulfo used to be drinking buddies.
